Tushita Meditation Centre is a centre for the study and practice of Buddhism from the Tibetan Mahayana tradition. We're located in Northern India, among the forested hills above the town of McLeod Ganj - the seat in exile of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.
Tushita aims to provide a friendly and conducive environment for people of all nationalities and backgrounds to learn about and put into practice the teachings of the Buddha. With this in mind we organize regular introductory courses on Buddhist philosophy and meditation, as well as intermediate level courses and group retreats for experienced students.
Take a look below for an overview of the courses, retreats and events we have planned for 2012, or see our fully updated calendar for more information. We hope that you'll find a course that matches your interest and schedule, and that you'll be able to join us soon!
Tushita is now closed for our Annual Winter Break

Mondays and Fridays are Movie Days! Come and watch a movie or documentary of Buddhist interest at 2pm. Both our Movie screenings and drop-in Guided Meditations are by donation and open to anyone; no need to register, just come!
In addition, you're welcome to visit our excellent library (see opening hours), join one of our pujas or use one of our 3 meditation halls for your own practice.
